CEF’s Event Planning Internship Program provides students and young adults with practical, real-world experience in planning and managing community events from pre-production through post-event execution.
Participants work alongside community leaders and event organizers while developing professional skills in communication, leadership, organization, teamwork, and project management.
The internship prepares participants for careers in:
Assist with planning timelines, scheduling, logistics, and overall event organization.
Support event marketing campaigns, social media outreach, and community communications.
Learn professional communication and relationship-building with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
Gain hands-on experience supporting event setup, guest coordination, and live event operations.

Interns gain:
Interns may have opportunities to assist with CEF community initiatives and fundraising events, including the annual Educational Taste of Excellence: Wine Tasting, Spirits, and Jazz scholarship fundraiser founded by Dr. Joni Flowers.
